India is a wonderful continent with varied climate and geography. On the coastline there are some really great natural reserves. The unique natural beauty of this region compels a large number of tourists to visit the country every year. The warm weather and the golden sands make the place very popular among the beach holiday enthusiasts.

The country has a large number of parks and sanctuaries, many of which are associated with any of the above mentioned natural concerns. A large number of travelers to the country combine their visit to the nature with a visit to the wildlife. Indian wildlife is rich and varied.

If you are a bird watcher, you will find many bird species in the different regions of the country. The cool air that comes in from the sea has a special attraction for many bird watchers. In the coastal region numerous migratory birds embark on their long journey to the colder regions of the world, and this is often the best opportunity to observe them.

Indian regions are also known for the lush green forests whereas the extreme North experiences a severe climate and nearly round the year there is a blanket of snow cover. As a result, the dense forests play an important role in the ecosystem.

Bardia NP is located in the Kathmandu valley. It was established in 1973 and is a joint Indian tiger reserve and a national park. It has a land area of 2838 sq km and is a beautiful park with a lot of tourist facilities. The park is considered to be one of the most bio-diverse regions in the world. It has a rich flora and fauna. You will easily spot a deer and see a tiger from almost any direction. The blind flight of the tiger that opens its eyes to the visitor is something you will never forget.

I was told to visit Mount Sanctuary from my tax debt lawyer who recently got back from India. Mount Sanctuary, located in the Banke belt, is a wonderful place to visit. The sanctuary spreads from Mugu to Banke. It was established in an area of 105 square kilometers and incorporates both mountainous and lowland forests. It has a magnificent diversity of wildlife and flora and fauna. From the Summit to the valley floor there are a large number of Himalayan plants.

Jim Corbett national park, often described as a lost paradise is one of the most bio-diverse regions in the world. The park has lost most of its wildlife population over the last 500 years. The leopards, boost deer, black rhinos and tigers, pythons and gaur are all found here. The forest has amazing varieties of flora and fauna.

Sariska National Park, Bharatpur, is another bio-diverse region and is located between the Banjar and Little Palette peaks. Most of the plants and animal population are found in this park. It is considered the most bio-diverse park in the country and is listed in the Tiger Reserve of India.

Suklaphanta Wildlife Reserve, Bandhavgarh National Park, Sariska tiger reserve and Keoladeo Ghana National Park are other well known tiger reserves in the country.
